We got off the ship and found taxi company by the port. They convinced us to go to this “beautiful” beach and caves. Took about 40 minutes via taxi from the port and paid $200 for three of us round t…Full review by mikayelaw

This beach is amazing. The water is crystal clear and the white sand is so fine and soft. Mostly tourists, so it would be great to visit in the afternoon when cruisers head back to the port. Just …Full review by Allen B

nope. bring food and water. there is a restaurant but was quite far 15-20 minutes. bear in mind though, the beach i beyond a half a mile walk through mangroves beachwalk, so it's a hassle if you need to go back and forth because your were thirsty. don't forget sunscreen, hat or covering. there is no structure at all beach front.

You'll need to pack a lunch of some sort because there are no lunch places onsite. I do not know how far it is from where the cruise ships dock, I'd guess 30 minutes to 45 minutes.
We will be on a cruise in May and want to see this beach so badly. I am having trouble finding a reasonably priced tour or taxi to take us and stay with us. $250 is the price I was quoted. A bit too steep for me. Can I ask you how you arrived at the beach? Did you rent a car or take a taxi? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you,

I suggest you phone the Bell Channel Inn and ask for Genie, she arranges tours, she's a diamond of a lady, she has friends who do tours for people so could maybe arrange something for you through her friend Michael. We got a tour from the Bell Channel Inn it was $45 each and was in a tour bus, first it went to the underground pools/caves, there toilets and a small stand for drinks and snacks no facilities on Gold Rock beach itself, which is across the road and a walk on a boardwalk through mangroves, we stayed there an hr and a half then went to Fortune beach for a couple of hrs which was also lovely there was a bar/restaurant there too. Coming off a cruise it would have to be tailored to you with times etc so going down a private arrangement is the only way to do it, Genie also arranges car hire and could do a day hire where the others wouldn't hire for less than 3 days, car parking with entry to Gold Rock I think was $10 so cheap to do if you have a car, good luck hope you get there as it is beautiful.
