The Sooners' new offensive coordinator has signed a three-year deal that makes him among the highest-paid coordinators in the Southeastern Conference.

Arbuckle, 29, was raised in Canadian, Texas, and played quarterback at West Texas A&M from 2016-17. Before landing the Washington State play-calling job, he served as Western Kentucky’s co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2022 and the Hilltoppers ’ offensive quality control coach in 2021.

OU made a bigger investment in Arbuckle than his predecessor with hopes of fixing the offense. Seth Littrell’s contract was to pay him $1.1 million in his first season.
