According to a Quinnipiac University poll, the majority of U.S. voters disapprove of Trump's handling of files related to Epstein, a wealthy financier who died by suicide in jail in August 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.

Just 17% of Americans approve of Trump's handling of the case, a weaker rating than the president received on any other issue in the poll. Among Republicans, 35% approved, compared to 29% who disapproved and the rest who said they weren't sure or didn't answer the question.

After years of calling for the release of the Epstein files, Trump and his cabinet members are now claiming there is no list with Trump saying it is a “hoax” and trying to blame Democrats and even his own supporters after he lobbied for years for the files to be released.
