Trump advisor Kevin Hassett calls for "cooler heads to prevail" as president threatens Denmark with tariffs over Greenland acquisition deal negotiations.

The heads of state of all 27 European Union nations will meet for an "extraordinary meeting" later this week, European council president Antonio Costa said on Sunday.

Europe has options but they are limited and not easy to co-ordinate. The 27 members of the European Union, plus Britain, Norway, Iceland and war-torn Ukraine, need a plan they can all live with. The initial question was whether to respond at all.
