Hawks Rumored to Reunite With Former All-Star Center: Insider originally appeared on Athlon Sports.
The Hawks want to win a championship, and although they were already able to add Kristaps Porzingis, they might be on their way to adding another champion who was teammates with him. ESPN's Marc Spears reported that the Hawks are one of a couple of new teams getting involved in the Al Horford sweepstakes.
The Atlanta Hawks were one of the busiest teams in the offseason. They were part of a three-team deal that landed them Kristaps Porzingis. Porzingis has been a special player, a "unicorn" standing at 7-foot-2 and can space the floor with the best of them.
Oso Ighodaro scored a game-high 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting and racked up nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Second-round pick Koby Brea added 15 points, Yuri Collins went for 12 and Moses Wood chipped in 10.
Pettit followed up his dominant 1960-61 campaign by averaging 18.7 rebounds the following season. He also averaged a career high 31.1 points per game in 1961-62. He made the All-Star team, was named All-NBA First Team and finished sixth in MVP voting that season. Not only did Pettit appear in 78 games, but he averaged 42 minutes per game.
