Inter Miami coach Javier Mascherano expects to bring in several new faces to support Lionel Messi in Major League Soccer next season but says it is "impossible to think about" Brazilian Neymar being one of them.

Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano said on Thursday it was "impossible" to even consider bringing Neymar to the club to link up with his former Barcelona teammates Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez due to Major League Soccer's salary cap rules.

If Neymar were to sign with Miami, he’d also be reuniting with former Barcelona teammate Javier Mascherano, who was hired last month as Inter Miami coach. Neymar, 32, is under contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal through June 2025, which means he can start negotiating with other clubs about his future.
