Death row inmate Jessie Hoffman's execution marks the first time Louisiana has used the method and is the state's first execution in 15 years.

Jessie Hoffman remains scheduled for execution in Louisiana tonight, but the U.S. Supreme Court could still intervene. If carried out, this will be Louisiana’s first execution since 2010.

In Rapides Parish, two death row inmates currently await their fate in the Louisiana State Penitentiary – Darrell James Robinson and Larry Roy. Roy was convicted on first-degree murder charges in the May 1993 stabbing deaths of Freddie Richard, Jr. and Rosetta Silas in Cheneyville.
