Arguably the most popular athlete to play in Los Angeles, the Dodgers are commemorating Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant with a bobblehead giveaway on Friday, Aug. 8, when they host the Toronto Blue Jays.

The bobblehead features the late Bryant with his iconic no. 24 jersey, with a pair of his signature Zoom Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers sneaker, and him holding a bat from the left side of the plate. The release date will be on Aug. 8, commemorating the iconic no. 8 jersey he wore during the Lakers’ dynasty of the early 2000’s.

Bryant was an avid Dodgers fan and often attended home games at Dodger Stadium. The team also gave away custom Bryant jerseys last season that featured his No. 8 on the front and his No. 24 on the back. It had a "KB" patch on the sleeve and a snake in recognition of his Black Mamba nickname.
