After a strange couple of days in south Louisiana that saw historic snowfall and record low temperatures, Thursday is expected to bring clear skies, sunshine, and afternoon temperature well above freezing that should help melt some of the snow and ice coating the region's roads and sidewalks.

Snow totals in Louisiana have broken records. Parts of Florida, Texas and Georgia have also accumulated several inches of snow.
