Cincinnati Reds executive advisor Walt Jocketty, one of the most respected front office figures in baseball for decades, died after a long illness.

Walt Jocketty held various front office positions with the Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds over his five decades in MLB.

Former Cincinnati Reds General Manager Walt Jocketty has died at the age of 74. “The Reds are saddened by the passing of longtime Reds executive Walt Jocketty,” the Cincinnati Reds posted on social media. “We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”
