President Donald Trump continued his attacks on Democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani on Wednesday, saying that he will “save” the city from him. The president’s post on his social media platform, Truth Social, called Mamdani a “Communist Lunatic.”

Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for mayor of New York City and a state Assembly member, called the threat "an attack on our democracy."
