For the first time in program history, the McNeese Cowboys punched their ticket to consecutive NCAA Tournaments on Wednesday, beating Lamar to win the Southland Conference Title

There’s certainly some strong feelings between Lamar and McNeese State in the Southland Conference. And those heated emotions once again bubbled to the surface on Wednesday evening, as the two teams clashed in the Southland Tournament Championship.

McNeese is the heavy favorite as the Southland's regular-season champion. The Cowboys beat Lamar during both previous match-ups this season, including a heated battle in Beaumont earlier this month.
