“KPop Demon Hunters” could also win this weekend because of the lack of major releases: “Weapons” is a holdover from two weeks ago, and this weekend’s release schedule is barren aside from “Honey Don’t,” the Ethan Coen-directed film opening in wide release.

“KPop Demon Hunters A Sing-Along Event” arrives at movie theaters Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 23-24 for one weekend only. The animated film will be shown in theaters across the United States. Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, according to Netflix.

According to Deadline, the special singalong screenings of KPop Demon Hunters, which are taking place at around 1,700 US locations this August 23 and 24 (with 1,100 already sold o
