Arkansas coach John Calipari complimented Lamont Paris' South Carolina team after beating them in the SEC tournament.

Arkansas defeated South Carolina 82-78 in the first round of the SEC Tournament on Wednesday, ending the Gamecocks’ 2024-25 season in Nashville. South Carolina rounds out its season 12-20 overall, and 2-16 against SEC competition.

Arkansas was at the free throw line with under three seconds remaining in the game. Johnell Davis made the first attempt to put the Razorbacks up by three, and one more make would essentially end the game. Davis tried to purposefully miss the second free throw, but he accidentally banked it in to put Arkansas up by four, and the game was over.
