The Utah Jazz are expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA this season — but they certainly didn't look like it on opening night.
The Utah Jazz ran away with a blowout victory in their season opener against the Los Angeles Clippers for night one of their regular season, coming out to play on both ends of the ball to win 129-108, and starting the new year off right 1-0.
Lue’s Clippers have an over/under of 49.5 wins this season, per BetMGM. The Jazz, who had the league’s worst record last season, have a league-low over/under of 18.5 wins. Utah is a whole lot closer to going over that win total after embarrassing the Clippers 129-108 at the Delta Center.

Walker Kessler had 22 points and nine rebounds, Lauri Markkanen scored 20 and the Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Clippers 129-108.
But, there is one thing that the Clippers do not have an abundance of — youth. It just so happens that’s the one thing the 2025-26 Jazz roster has in spades, so the Jazz went into the regular season opener with a very simple gameplan: Run the wheels off the old guys, and that they did to the tune of a 129-108 victory.
Walker Kessler led the Utah Jazz to a surprising win over the LA Clippers on Wednesday night and made NBA history in the process.
