MOSCOW, Jan 22 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia is ready to donate $1 billion in U.S. dollars from its sovereign assets frozen in the United States to President Donald Trump's Board of Peace and commit an unspecified amount for the restoration of Ukraine.
The Russian president told a Security Council meeting on Wednesday, "What happens to Greenland is none of our business."
Steve Witkoff, President Trump’s special envoy, and Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law, were expected in Moscow as Mr. Witkoff expressed optimism over a plan to end Russia’s war in Ukraine.
