Senate Republicans hauled President Donald Trump’s big tax breaks and spending cuts bill to passage Tuesday on the narrowest of votes, pushing past opposition from Democrats and their own GOP ranks after a turbulent overnight session.

The measure would extend trillions of dollars in tax cuts from Trump’s first term and implement new campaign promises while spending billions on immigration enforcement.

Senate lawmakers continued their marathon voting on amendments to the Republican reconciliation bill through the night. This comes as the White House pushes for Congress to meet President Trump's self-imposed Independence Day deadline.
