White House: Billions in South Korea Deals
The White House announced on the 29th that U.S. President Donald Trump secured “investments and export contracts worth tens of billions of dollars” during his state visit to South Korea. Through a “Fact Sheet” released earlier in the day,
South Korea announced they’ve reached an agreement on details of the trade deal with the U.S., following the bilateral meeting between President Lee and President Trump.
Trump’s announcement was short on detail but came a day after he finalized a trade deal with South Korea that includes a pledge of $350 billion in investment.
The following are some of the details released by South Korea's chief policy adviser Kim Yong-beom and from a U.S. White House factsheet on the trade deal reached between the two countries.
