Fire crews are battling a swiftly growing blaze dubbed the Hughes Fire burning near Interstate 5 in Castaic, in the northern part of Los Angeles County.

A new wildfire was reported today at 8:52 p.m. in Los Angeles County. The wildfire has been burning on private land. There is no update on the containment progress of the fire and its cause has yet to be determined.
