Diogo Jota was remembered at Wimbledon as two Portuguese players wore a black ribbon on their all-white attire during their matches, a day after the Liverpool winger and his brother were killed in a car crash.

Portuguese tennis player Francisco Cabral sported a black ribbon at Wimbledon in honour of Diogo Jota following the Liverpool player’s death in a car crash on Thursday. Cabral, in men’s doubles action with partner Lucas Miedler, stated it was an “honour” to wear the symbol out of respect for the Portugal international.
