Chelsea’s quadruple bid in women’s soccer is up and running. A 2-1 win over Manchester City in the Women’s League Cup final earned Chelsea its first piece of silverware this season.

The win puts City in the hat for the semi-final draw which takes place later on Sunday evening. Chelsea kept their quadruple hopes alive with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. The hosts saw goals in either half disallowed with Aggie Beever-Jones and Catarina Macario denied for the latter being flagged offside in the build-up to both efforts.

Chelsea checked off their first piece of silverware in their ongoing pursuit of a quadruple under new manager Sonia Bompastor following their 2-1 win against Manchester City in the Subway Cup final on Saturday.
