All eyes are on Galopin Des Champs, who is aiming for a third successive Gold Cup at the climax of the Cheltenham Festival. General admission for the Gold Cup has sold out, with nearly 70,000 spectators gathered at Prestbury Park.

And if something of such magnitude is taking place, plenty of people want to have a front seat at greatness today (Friday, March 14). Prestbury Park is a heaving mass of racegoers eager to bare witness to one of the blue riband events in the British sporting calendar.

On Wednesday, March 12, the Cheltenham Races hosted seven races in the afternoon. The Novices' Hurdle at 1:20pm, Novices' Steeple Chase at 2pm, Coral Cup Hurdle at 2.40pm, Cross Country Steeple Chase at 3.20pm, Queen Mother Champion Chase at 4pm, Grand Annual Handicap Chase at 4.40pm and Champion Bumper at 5.20pm.
