DETROIT – A teen was shot by an officer after fleeing a traffic stop and producing a handgun in a McDonald’s drive-thru on Detroit’s east side. The shooting occurred on Tuesday (Oct. 21) at 9:42 p.m. on East 7 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue.

A Detroit judge again cited a lack of evidence linking the suspect to the shooting before dismissing charges against a man accused of shooting a teen with autism who was lost in his neighborhood.
A teenager was struck by a bullet while inside a home Wednesday night in Southwest Detroit. The Detroit Police Department, which is investigating the incident, said the shots were fired outside of a home in the 1500 block of Campbell Street. At least one bullet went into the house, and a teenager who was inside was struck.
