Funeral services for President Russell M. Nelson, who died Sept. 27 at age 101, will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7. This follows a public viewing that was held Monday. A special broadcast honoring President Nelson, the 17th prophet and president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was held last week.

Visitation for John Thomas Bond Jr., 77, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Fenton Chapel of Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Road in Fenton, the funeral home said. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. in the chapel. A private interment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The funeral is not open to the media.
