HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hawaiian Airlines made its final flight using its own callsign on Wednesday. Hawaiian flights are designated by the callsign of HA, followed by the flight number, which pilots use to communicate with air traffic control.
SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines' website and app is experiencing significant technical issues less than a week after an IT outage caused hundreds of flights to be canceled. At 9:10 a.m. Wednesday, Alaska said, "Our website and app are down, it is being looked into we don't have any other information at this time I am so sorry for the inconvenience."

Alaska, Hawaiian Airlines Unveil Single Operating Certificate with FAA
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have received a single operating certificate from the FAA, allowing them to operate as one airline group while maintaining separate brands.
Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines will begin the process of operating under a single call sign by Oct. 26, 2025. Hawaiian has flown under the code “HA” since 1929 and it will be officially retired in April 2026.
The Microsoft Azure outage knocked out some of Alaska Airlines' systems Wednesday, including its website and mobile app.
