World heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois withdrew on Thursday from his scheduled title defense against Joseph Parker on Saturday after falling ill.

Saturday's boxing card in Saudi Arabia has a new co-main event, as Joseph Parker will meet Martin Bakole instead of Daniel Dubois.

Bakole was set to take on Efe Ajagba in an IBF final eliminator in May, but Nelson’s wish has now been granted, as he will now step in on short notice to face Parker on Saturday night. A victory for Bakole could then see him earn a straight world heavyweight title shot against Dubois.
