While Southern California enjoys mostly sunny skies this week, the rest of the U.S. is dealing with snowy winter conditions that have affected flights and airports across the nation.

"An Arctic siege has taken over our state," says New York governor Kathy Hochul, adding: "It is brutal, it is bone-chilling and it is dangerous."

Most of the delayed flights at the time of publication were through Southwest Airlines, while most of the canceled flights were through American Airlines.
