Cooper Flagg and Maliq Brown have been ruled out for No. 1 Duke’s game against North Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament on Friday because of injuries.

On Monday, the ACC announced the winners of its annual awards and honors, and to no one’s surprise, Flagg's name was listed everywhere. He was named the 2025 ACC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, while also earning spots on the All-ACC First Team, ACC All-Defensive Team, and ACC All-Rookie Team.

The No. 1 team in the nation has a major March Madness scare on its hands. Duke freshman phenom Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, suffered a left ankle injury and was placed in a wheelchair during the ACC Tournament Thursday.
