After the end of the BBC’s Peaky Blinders in 2022, fans still wanted more. In June 2024, Netflix confirmed that a Peaky Blinders movie would be happening with Cillian Murphy reprising his role as Tommy Shelby.

The film has been directed by Tom Harper and written by Steven Knight. Knight was talking about a Peaky Blinders movie prior to the sixth season airing, but delays were brought on by COVID.
