UConn women's basketball star Paige Bueckers essentially confirmed that she will be departing the Huskies after this season.

At just 23 years old, Paige Bueckers has already cemented herself as a force in women’s basketball: She’s the fastest player in UConn history to reach 2,000 career points; she was the first freshman to nab the Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy—and, come next month, she’s widely projected to be the No. 1 pick in the 2025 WNBA draft.

Bueckers, who was a First-Team AP All-American in 2021 and 2024, joins former legendary Huskies Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart as the only players in program history to earn the AP honor three or more times (Moore earned it all four years). This is also her third First Team All-American nod from the USBWA.
