Andrew received prominent recognition from Mothers Against Drunk Driving for his efforts in keeping Denver’s roads safe from impaired drivers."

Officer Duarte's memory is now being honored by many local businesses including The Popcorn Loft in West York, which is allowing customers to hold fundraisers with 20 percent of the profits going directly to Duarte's family. The idea came to owner Cody Shoemaker hours after learning of Saturday's tragic shooting.
