Star shortstop Bo Bichette, who was added to the Toronto Blue Jays' roster for the World Series, will play second base for the first time at the major league level and bat cleanup on Friday in Game 1 against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers.

He hadn’t played since he sprained his left knee in a Sept. 6 collision with New York Yankees catcher Austin Wells.Usually a shortstop, Bichette will play second for the first time in the major leagues.

Bichette has never played second base in the major leagues. He gets his first crack at the position in Game 1 of the World Series.

The Toronto Blue Jays’ $500 million superstar offered a response on his relationship with the shortstop as free agency approaches.
