Free-agent corner infielder/designated hitter Justin Turner has agreed to a deal with the Cubs, according to the New York Post. The contract is expected to be for one year and $6 million, reports The Athletic.

One thing that Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer has accomplished in building his roster for the season ahead is adding a group of players who have extensive postseason experience. Justin Turner will be the next to join the fold.

Entering his age-40 season, Turner will get some reps at first base, as a designated hitter and potentially at third base.
