Stephen Curry had an explosive performance on Tuesday night as he scored 52 points including made 12 three-pointers en route to a 134–125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. The Golden State Warriors star made some NBA history as well, passing the late, great Jerry West on the NBA's all-time scoring list to reach No. 25 on the rankings.

West, who was the model for the NBA logo and was in many ways the original prototype for Curry’s combo-guard archetype as a do-everything scoring dynamo with a sweet shot, was a legendary player for the Lakers in the 1960s and 1970s before helping build two separate dynasties in Los Angeles.

On Wednesday, the NBA revealed the 12 finalists for the 2024-25 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award and Curry was one of them. The annual award has been around since the 2012-13 season and "recognizes the player deemed the best teammate based on selfless play, on and off court leadership as a mentor and role model to other NBA players."
