After moving back from No. 89, the Texans traded picks Nos. 102 and 142 to Minnesota to get picks Nos. 97 and 187. At 97, the back-to-back AFC South champions took cornerback Jaylin Smith from USC.

Houston makes the Trojans senior and former Alemany High star the 97th overall pick Friday night. Smith will be reunited with former USC teammate Calen Bullock, a Texans safety.
