The body of Melina Galanis Frattolin, 9, of Canada, was found in Ticonderoga, N.Y., on Sunday, one day after her father falsely reported that she had been abducted, the police said.
Luciano Frattolin, a Montreal entrepreneur and founder of Gambella Coffee, was arrested after his daughter Melina Galanis Frattolin was found dead in New York.
Melina Galanis Frattolin’s body was recovered in Ticonderoga, New York – roughly 30 miles away from Lake George, where her father originally reported she was last seen.
Police sent an alert to people's phones saying Melina Galanis Frattolin was last seen southbound in a white van on I-87 near exit 22 at 9:40 p.m. Saturday.
Luciano Frattolin said that his daughter had been the victim of a possible abduction in Lake George, N.Y. On Monday, a day after her body was found, he was charged with second-degree murder.
