Physical copies of Monster Hunter Wilds require a 15GB update to play, Capcom has said. If you’ve pre-ordered the digital version, you can download the latest update now so you’re good to go when Monster Hunter Wilds goes live on February 28, Capcom added in a social media post.

A reduced-fat, flavourful, and fantastic realisation of the Monster Hunter formula, if you can stand to chew through some half-baked narrative choices.

Wilds sets out to split the difference between these two experiences. Its combat is faster than Worlds, but slower than Rise's. It's bigger and much more vertical than World, but without Rise's wirebug – a sad casualty of a move to a more traditional game – much of that verticality is wasted.
