North Carolina coach Hubert Davis has signed a two-year extension running through the 2029-30 season, and hired basketball agent Jim Tanner as the men's basketball program's executive director and general manager.

North Carolina Tarheels basketball coach Hubert Davis has two more years on his contract. Still, his recent decision to bring on a new general manager to help the blueblood men’s basketball program navigate the changing landscape of collegiate athletics leads many to believe Davis might be here for years to come.

Since Hubert Davis became UNC’s head coach in April 2021, he has maintained a preference for only having former Tar Heels on his staff.
