Sony joins Microsoft and Nintendo in raising gaming console prices following President Donald Trump’s tariffs on China.

All three PlayStation 5 consoles will see a similar price increase. The most expensive Pro version now has a recommended retail price of $749.99. The price hikes come after US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on most of America's trading partners, including Japan, which has led to fears of rising costs.

Each of the three current models of the PS5 consoles will go up by $50. That means the PS5 Digital Edition will be $500 instead of $450; the standard PS5 (with Blu-ray optical drive) will be $550 instead of $500; and the high-end PS5 Pro will be $750 instead of $700.
