Israeli settlers killed a 20-year-old Palestinian-American man in the West Bank, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health and an eyewitness, as settler violence against Palestinians ramps up in the occupied territory.

Top church leaders in the Holy Land asserted Monday that Israeli authorities “facilitate and enable” the presence of Israeli settlers who have intensified attacks in recent weeks on the only entirely Christian Palestinian village remaining in the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian-American Saifullah Kamel Musallet, 20, was visiting family in the West Bank when he was beaten to death by Israeli settlers, his family told CBS News.

Illegal Israeli settlers have destroyed water wells in a town in the occupied West Bank, a local non government organization said on Monday.
