The Michigan Wolverines landed their crown jewel of the 2026 class on Tuesday in five-star RB Savion Hiter. Now, he’s explaining why he chose Ann Arbor as his college football home:

Five-star running back Savion Hiter committed to Michigan on Tuesday during a ceremony hosted at Mineral, Virginia's Louisa County High School. Hiter, the top running back prospect in the class of 2026, chose the Wolverines over an impressive list of suitors including Tennessee, Georgia and Ohio State .

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Hiter, from Louisa County High in Mineral, Va., is rated the nation’s No. 1 running back in the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also ranked the No. 9 player overall.
