The Kansas City Chiefs cut ties with defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs following his latest legal issue. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero broke the news of Buggs’ release on Monday, June 24.
After a damages hearing on Feb. 26, a jury determined that former Jets star Le’Veon Bell owes $25n in damages to the victim, identified in the suit as Bell’s cousin.
Buggs was then released on a $5,000 bond according to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office records. Buggs began his NFL career as a sixth-round pick for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2019.
