The team's new lineup put together a promising stretch. George sealed a stop with a block on John Collins and the Sixers scored on their ensuing possession with a Grimes three. Maxey knocked down a mid-range jumper to cut the Clippers' lead to 64-61.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Paul George did not look like his best self in his first NBA game in well over eight months. But the Sixers withstood it, staging yet another comeback victory on Monday night.

George was penciled into the starting lineup Monday night against the Clippers for the first start since March 4, his 41st and final game of a disastrous and injury-filled first season with the 76ers. It’s fitting that his debut came against the Clippers, for whom he played prior to signing with the 76ers in the summer of 2024.
