NAACP Rockford Branch hosts free Black History Month celebration
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - The 2nd annual Black History Month Celebration takes place from 3-5 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Coronado Theater. The free event begins with performances from the Yavo Drumline, singers, poets and dancers. Attendees will also learn about Thurgood Marshall, Rosa Parks, Dr. Mae Jemison and the Tuskegee Airmen.
