Millions of people in Cuba remained without power Saturday after a failure of the nation’s electric grid left the island in the dark the previous night. The massive blackout is the fourth in the last six months as a severe economic crisis plagues the Caribbean country.

Reports on social media from outlying provinces both east and west of the capital city suggested much of the country of 10 million people was without power.

Cuba remained largely without power on Saturday morning after the island´s grid collapsed the night before, knocking out electricity for 10 million people and raising fresh questions about the viability of its antiquated generating system.
