Former Tennessee basketball player Dalton Knecht started and played 37 minutes for the Lakers. He totaled 32 points, two rebounds and one assist. Knecht converted 13-of-27 field goal attempts, 5-of-13 three-point attempts and 1-of-2 free throw attempts.

Dalton Knecht has had a whirlwind of a rookie season with the Los Angeles Lakers. After getting drafted by them No. 17 overall this past summer, they agreed to trade the Tennessee alum to the Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 5 ( via ESPN's Shams Charania ).

On Feb. 6, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Lakers had finalized a deal to send Knecht, Cam Reddish, a 2030 pick swap, and a 2031 unprotected first-round pick to the Hornets for Williams.
