After another embarrassing loss, the Atlanta Falcons will attempt to get back on the winning track against a sneaky good New England Patriots team in Week 9. Falcons head coach Raheem Morris spoke to the media before kicking off Wednesday's practice.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris provided injury updates on quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and wide receiver Drake London and both were positive for their chances of suiting up in Week 9.

Wide receiver Drake London, who also sat out in Week 8, was a limited participant on Wednesday. Billy Bowman Jr, Jalon Walker, Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts were also limited to begin the week. Bowman and Walker have missed the last two games but Atlanta hopes to get them back in Week 9.

Michael Penix Jr. and Drake London seem to be trending in the right direction ahead of the Falcons matchup against the Patriots.

Falcons coach Raheem Morris said London (hip) will participate in Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Marc Raimondi of ESPN.com reports.

London popped up on the injury report late in the week when he was downgraded to questionable with the hip injury on Saturday. He had logged a limited practice on Friday, but didn't have a game-day designation on the team's final injury report that day. London was expected to be a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's contest.

Penix is inactive for the game and Kirk Cousins will make the start for the Falcons. It will be Cousins’ first start since he was benched in favor of Penix after Week 15 of the 2024 season. Easton Stick is active as the No. 2 quarterback.

Falcons WR Drake London is officially out for Week 8 despite Atlanta's last-grasp attempt to determine if he could play.
