Astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Sunita Williams are set to return to Earth after nearly 300 days in space, far exceeding their original 8-day mission plan.

Williams etched her name in space history with the STS-116 mission aboard Discovery on December 9, 2006. As a flight engineer for Expeditions 14 and 15, she set records for women in space. These included more than 29 hours of spacewalks and over 195 days in orbit.
