Indiana receiver E.J. Williams Jr. benefitted from all the attention UCLA gave Sarratt and Cooper with his first career 100-yard game. He had five catches for 109 yards with two touchdowns — he scored on a 62-yard completion from Mendoza — but much of IU's offensive success came in the running game.
Quarterback Nico Iamaleava did play and was 13 for 27 for 113 yards passing with two interceptions, including Aiden Fisher's pick-six at the game's start. IU's defense held UCLA to 201 yards of offense and generated seven tackles for loss, including three sacks.
