UFC 321 went down last Saturday (Oct. 25, 2025) inside Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, leaving several fighters feeling the post-fight blues. One fighter that was always going to comment on the unsatisfying outcome was the last man to successfully defend the heavyweight title. Following the months of back and forth between the two men that didn’t result in them sharing the Octagon with one another, Jon Jones will have been watching Tom Aspinall’s next fight closely.
When Jon Jones retired from MMA in early 2025, he did so under somewhat complicated circumstances. By the time he hung up the gloves, he was irrefutably one of the greatest fighters in MMA history—maybe the best outright.
